Christian Cota

"Christian Cota attributes his passion growing up in Mexico to his first muses, his mother and grandmother. “The way they dressed and carried themselves was an education in elegance. They defined the world.”
Christian Cota studied painting, a lifelong passion, in Paris before embarking on a career in fashion. After graduating Parsons School of Design in 2005 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree, he launched his company in February 2007. Spring 2008, the first collection, incorporated the designer’s early influences of the simplistic grace of nature blending organic forms with clean shapes. In 2007, Style.com named Christian Cota one of their “Ten Newcomers to Watch”. His work has been featured in The Museum of Fashion Institue of Technology’s Arbiters of Style Exhibit. In January of 2009, Christian Cota received Fashion Group International’s Women’s Ready to Wear Rising Star Award."
